Ustroń Spa: Hotels and Accommodation

Around Palenica and Czantoria, the cable cars, hiking trails and other specific excursion destinations are the main attractions in Ustroń Spa. The Czantoria cable car is a detachable cable car with four-seater chairs and a length of 1,640 metres. There are parking facilities as well as bus and railway connections near the Czantoria cable car. From the upper station of the Czantoria cable car, an easy forest path leads to the summit with its observation tower in about 30 minutes.

The summit of Palenica can be reached via a blue hiking trail and also by the Palenica cable car. From the summit of Palenica, a green hiking trail leads towards Orłowa, Brenna and Madziówka. Palenica Bike Park currently has four downhill tracks with different levels of difficulty.

Nature

At Leśny Park Niespodzianek, the Sowiarnia's main attraction is flight demonstrations featuring owls specially trained for this purpose. Around 30 birds are currently kept at the Sokolarnia. The Centre for Nature and Forest Education presents animal exhibitions from North America, Africa and Europe.

Culture

The Ustroń Museum displays monumental forging machines. The Ustroń Museum also includes a growing open-air museum. It is located at the historically significant site of the former “Klemens” ironworks.

In the centre of Ustroń, Stara Zagroda includes a reconstruction of a house dating from 1768, using authentic fragments such as door frames and ceiling beams. The Stara Zagroda Ethnographic Museum houses a permanent exhibition of old equipment.

History

The Protestant church in Ustroń, dedicated to the Apostle James the Elder, was built in 1838. The Protestant church in Ustroń contains an altar dating from 1883, donated by ironworkers from Ustroń, Trzyniec and Frydek. The parish church of St Clement in Ustroń was consecrated on 23 November 1788.

In front of the Pijalnia Wód stands a fountain – the Ustroń graduation tower.
