Simion Drînda from Măguri practised blacksmithing throughout his life and opened his own forge in 1975. In 2023, he was declared a „Living Human Treasure“ by the Romanian Ministry of Culture.

Badea Simion works entirely by hand in his forge, using old tools and no electric tools.

After the 1944 battles, 26 fallen soldiers, including nine unknown soldiers, were initially buried in the cemetery of Mănăstirea Muntele Rece.
