Culture and History

The present-day Han Preajba is the former Iancu Jianu Manor. The former Iancu Jianu Manor, now Han Preajba, was built in the 18th century and was one of the area's most important recreational destinations for many years. Malu Mare was first documented in 1494.

The Preajba - Făcăi lake complex is a protected area north of Preajba, in the immediate vicinity of National Road DN55. In the Preajba - Făcăi lake complex area, visitors can observe, among others, great egrets, white storks, little egrets, coots, pochards, greylag geese, and sedge warblers.

Preajba-Făcăi is listed in Malu Mare as a 19-hectare fishing water. The Preajba-Făcăi fishery was put into operation on July 1, 1966.
