The lake near Câmpu lui Neag was created on the site of a former open-cast coal mine. Several old traditional wooden houses can be seen in Câmpu lui Neag. The Craii nativity singing is part of the Christmas tradition there. In the church of Câmpu lui Neag, the Craii tradition includes an artistic depiction of the biblical Nativity, accompanied by Christmas carols.
