Which cultural sites shape the town?
A prominent architectural monument is the Cazinoul Băilor in Vatra Dornei. It was inaugurated on 10 July 1899 and built in the eclectic style with influences from the German Neo-Renaissance. The inauguration date falls at the end of the 19th century.
The Museum of Natural Sciences and Hunting was founded in 1952 and officially opened in 1957. It includes a department for the fauna and flora of the Dornelor region as well as a hunting department for Suceava County. Five years lie between its foundation and official opening.
