Palić

Palić Nature Park encompasses the shallow lowland lake Palić and part of the settlement of Palić. The lakeshore is 17 kilometres long and landscaped along its entire length. A marked cycle path runs around the lake. Lake Palić also has three developed beaches.

The bird islands in the second sector of Lake Palić are the only breeding site of the slender-billed gull (Larus melanocephalus) in Serbia. More than 200 bird species have been recorded at Lake Palić in total, including 176 strictly protected species. This means that part of the visit is clearly aimed at travellers who want not only to view a lake landscape from the shore, but also to experience its birdlife. Another family-friendly attraction is Palić Zoo. It includes a botanical collection of native plants, unusual deciduous and coniferous trees, as well as seasonal flowers. The various plant collections add a distinct botanical aspect to the visit rather than offering exclusively animal enclosures.

In addition to Palić Women's Beach, visitors can rent boats and three types of pedal boats. Kayaks can also be rented on Lake Palić. Together with the three developed beaches, this creates an offering that distinguishes between spending time on the shore and engaging in activities on the water. The marked cycle path around the lake also provides an opportunity to cycle around the lake without having to plan a route of your own. For a swimming day less dependent on the weather, Aqua Park Palić is available. It has six pools and five slides. The water there is thermal water; the facility also allows for an easy transition between indoor and outdoor areas. For travel planning, this is a clearly different option from spending time on the beaches or on the lake.

The Palić Summer Stage was built in 1950 in the heart of the Great Park for classical performances and operas. The European Film Festival takes place on the same summer stage every July. The Palić Water Tower is a landmark of the town. During its hundred-year history, the Music Pavilion has preserved its original form and function. Together, these places show different layers of Palić's cultural history: a stage for classical performances, an annual film event and preserved structures in public spaces.

For cycling tours, Palić has a station of the public bicycle rental service SuBike in the car park of the Mala Gostiona restaurant. There is also a public car park in front of Palić Zoo.
