Thermalpark Šírava is located on the Medvedia hora peninsula in the municipality of Kaluža. Its water world includes a wave pool and a swimming pool. Culture

A different aspect is conveyed by the Greek Catholic Church “Gréckokatolícky kostol sv. Tomáša”. It is a single-nave eclectic building with a semicircular apse and a projecting tower dating from 1928. The “Pamätník osloboditeľom obce Kaluža” monument is also one of the sights of the municipality of Kaluža. Thus, alongside the water facilities, the townscape also features two independently named cultural sites.

On the shore of Zemplínska Šírava, the Kaluža holiday centre has a beach and a campsite.

Two cycling routes start in Kaluža. The Kaluža–Morské oko cycling route begins in Kaluža, heads east towards Jovsa and continues to Lake Morské oko. The Kaluža–Vyšná Rybnica cycling route runs from Kaluža via Kusín, Jovsa and Poruba pod Vihorlatom to Vyšná Rybnica. The two routes therefore connect Kaluža with different destinations, each following its own route.
