The “Cycling around Brestanica and its area” cycling route continues via Raztez to Armeško. The Armeško climbing area has 17 routes on the southern side and 7 routes on the northern side. The climbing area can be reached via an approximately ten-minute walk along a well-maintained but rather steep path.

Nature

The ponds of Armeško consist of three ponds on a tributary of the Lokovški stream near Armeško. They are classified as a natural asset of the ecosystem type. The area “Armeško – ribniki” is also recorded as a natural asset and is considered a local natural asset. Thus, two named natural features stand side by side in and near Armeško: the facility consisting of three ponds at the stream tributary and the separately designated area “Armeško – ribniki”.

Culture

The Church of the Holy Cross in Armeško is essentially a medieval single-nave church with a three-sided apse and a bell tower. Its high altar contains a crucifixion composition with life-size statues. The church is registered as a protected architectural monument and is also a branch church of the Brestanica parish. The recorded structural features of the locality also include the farm’s agricultural building at Armeško 33; it is recorded under the identification number EŠD 16139.

Cycling

The “Cycling around Brestanica and its area” cycling route begins and ends at the Pečnik Inn. On the route, you take the main road to Brestanica and then continue past the Adam Bohorič Primary School to Dolenji Leskovec. After Dolenji Leskovec, the cycling route leads up a steep climb to Likov vrh. Via Raztez, it continues to Armeško. In the wider regional area around Armeško, the cycling route passes through a tunnel of a former narrow-gauge railway. The tunnel now houses a well-maintained cycling and hiking trail.
