Nature

Dvor Park is a site designated as a natural attraction that was created in the second half of the 19th century. A network of paths and trails in Dvor Park leads to the Sava. Dvor Park can be visited independently. Groups in particular must register their visit in advance with Prevzgojni dom Radeče, as freedom of movement there is restricted. The organizational arrangements for visiting therefore vary depending on the visitor group.

Water

Radeče’s water-based attractions also include the Bazen Radeče outdoor swimming pool. It has heated water and measures 25 × 10 m.

History and Interpretation

In the municipality of Radeče, visitors can experience the area’s natural assets virtually through a film at the Stara šola Centre and learn about the rich history of the region. Prior registration with KTRC Radeče is required to visit the Stara šola Centre. TIC Savus provides information about the natural and cultural attractions of the municipality of Radeče as well as rafting on the Sava. Local information therefore covers both natural and cultural attractions and the traditional activity on the river.

Exploring the Area

The Savus Educational Trail is an easy, level, 5 km circular educational route. It combines interpretation of the natural and cultural heritage. Its designation as a circular educational route describes both its educational purpose and its course along a closed route with a fixed length and an even, easy character.

Culinary Experiences

In the municipality of Radeče, the Ostrovrharjeve gospodinje offer a culinary and ethnographic experience with a medieval character. The offering includes homemade specialities prepared according to traditional recipes. Culinary tradition and the ethnographic connection, together with the medieval character, are at the heart of the experience.

Culture

Dvorec Turn in Radeče is now a listed residential building. The Plečnik NOB Monument in Radeče commemorates 101 fighters who fell in the national liberation struggle. The two sites have different historical associations: one is a listed residential building today, while the other preserves the memory of those who fell in the national liberation struggle.
