Culture

The Barbullush Cultural Centre was established as an Islamic cultural and educational centre for children and young people in the surrounding area. It was inaugurated next to the village mosque in February 2022. The centre thus combines a religious and educational purpose.

As part of summer courses, the cultural centre offered Islamic educational activities as well as games, theatre performances and screenings of educational animated films. In addition to the educational content, shared play, theatre and educational film screenings are therefore also named as components of the programme.

The Catholic parish in Barbullush is called “Zoja e Ngritur në Qiell” (Our Lady of the Assumption).

History

The Shën Shtjefni Church in Barbullush is associated with the 14th century and was the first seat of the Bishop of Shkodër in 1654. It is located on a hill near the Drin.

The first Albanian-language school in Barbullush was opened in 1901; its first teacher was Lush Kola.

Nature

Gardenland Resort is located in the scenic fields of Zadrima along the Drin River. Its location connects the landscape of Zadrima with the named river as a spatial reference point.

The Gardenland Pools at Gardenland Resort include a 1,400 m² pool and a water park with a capacity of 800 people. This area therefore specifies both a concrete surface area and a specific visitor capacity.

Gardenland Resort has a children’s playground and a camping area. Both facilities are among the explicitly named areas of the resort.
