Tragjas i Vjetër is a ruined village and a cultural monument in Tragjas. Tragjas i Vjetër is considered an open-air museum and a silent testament to the past. The outlines of former residential buildings have been preserved in the former village; a main road crosses the settlement along its entire length. The village, with 300 houses, stretches along a hillside.

Culture

The cave between Dukat and Tragjas, which is listed as a cultural monument in Qarku i Vlorës, is also part of the area's cultural context. Tragjas is also one of the villages known for its dances, polyphonic singing and traditional costumes. The ruined village, the cave and the living forms of cultural expression refer to different places and forms of cultural heritage.

Landscape

Gjon Boçari Castle stands on a dominant hill above the Dukat plain and above Tragjas and Radhimë. From its defensive towers, the view extends across the Bay of Vlora, the Dukat plain as far as Orikum, and part of the road to Qafa e Llogarasë.

Rrepet e Izvorit is located near Tragjas Fushë, by numerous karst springs, and includes a small woodland with more than 100 old plane trees. The site is of particular biological, ecological, educational and touristic importance. Rrepet e Izvorit can be visited via the Vlorë–Tragjas Fushë road.

Route

The “Tragjasit të Vjetër” route runs via Orikum, Rrepet e Izvorit in Tragjas, Tragjas i Vjetër and Gjon Boçari Castle. It is 8.5 km long and has a total ascent of 300 m.
