Culture and history
Qusar has historic houses dating from the period when a Russian military regiment was stationed there. The Sheikh Juneyd Mausoleum was built in 1544. Sumaq carpets and knitted wool clothing are also part of the cultural character of the Qusar Rayon.
Nature
Forests account for 20 percent of the Qusar Rayon. Near Urva, the 7-hectare Elistan Baba beech forest is under special protection. Mount Bazardüzü reaches 4,466 meters in the Qusar Rayon and is described as the highest point in Azerbaijan.
Hiking and trails
The Kuzun–Laza trail is fully marked, and the paths are clearly visible throughout. It offers views of steep cliffs, waterfalls, and sparse forests in the Gusarchay River valley. Local taxis operate between the city center of Gusar and Kuzun; the daily Laza–Gusar bus service is described as irregular.

Qusar's Lezgian cuisine includes breads baked in a traditional xərək oven, as well as shakuqa and tskan meat pies.
