Nature

Samur-Yalama National Park is located in the Caspian coastal zone of the Samur-Shabran Plain within Khachmaz Rayon. Its landscape includes forest and plain and features diverse plant and animal life.

In Khachmaz Rayon, the flora recorded in Samur-Yalama National Park includes field maple, Georgian oak, oriental beech, ash, and alder. Its recorded fauna includes wild boar, raccoon, bream, kutum, and asp.

Xudat is an ancient fortress town in Khachmaz Rayon and became the capital of the Quba Khanate in the early 18th century. Carpet weaving is one of the more widespread traditional crafts of Khachmaz Rayon.

The Yalama-Nabran coastal zone is described as a significant tourism zone with up to 70 tourism facilities. Khachmaz has an open-air museum, the “Personalities Museum,” with monuments to 40 notable figures from Azerbaijani literature, art, and science.

In Khachmaz Rayon, visitors can watch artisans weaving large and miniature carpets.

Turist

The “Şəfa” recreation camp of the “Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University” is associated with Turist. Also associated with Turist is the health and sports camp of the “Republican Olympic Sports Lyceum.”

Turist’s family recreation center is described as a facility with swimming pools for adults and children. It is described as operating seasonally from May 1 to September 15.

The rooms at the family recreation center are described as having bathrooms, seasonal cooling, televisions, refrigerators, and internet access.
