Culture
The New Castle was built from 1737 to 1742 as a royal residence and venue for the general Sejm sessions of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Today, it houses permanent and temporary exhibitions on the castle, regional history, sacred art, weapons, and the region’s natural environment.

The Old Castle in Grodno is a unique monument of the architecture and archaeology of Belarus. The gallery of the Old Castle leads to a viewing platform with beautiful views of the Neman and the city.
The Museum of the History of Gorodnitsa is located in the so-called Master’s House (“Bosniac House”), a typical residential building from the period when Gorodnitsa was developed in the 1760s. It is dedicated to the reforming activities of Antoni Tyzenhauz, the Grand Ducal Lithuanian court treasurer, in Grodno. The building of the Museum of the History of Gorodnitsa is a monument of national significance. The Master’s House is an example of the first standardized residential development in Belarus.
