Faletići: Stećci, Mošćanica and Ćetenija

The national monument of Faletići comprises 57 Stećci and 22 Nišani. One Nišan from the Faletići archaeological site is displayed in the permanent exhibition of the Brusa bezistan in Sarajevo. This makes it possible to trace the historical connection both at the necropolis in Faletići and through an individual exhibit in Sarajevo. Both presentation sites therefore belong to different parts of the same historical context: the archaeological site preserves the ensemble on location, while the museum displays an individual element in a permanent exhibition.

The connection between Faletići and water is also clearly defined. The section of the open course of the Mošćanica as a water resource extends from the source of the Mošćanica to the Faletići water intake. The Mošćanica continues to be protected under the applicable federal and cantonal water protection regulations. The Vrelo Mošćanice can be reached via Faletići. The Vrelo area is fenced off as a water protection zone and is not accessible to ordinary visitors. The accessible designation of Vrelo Mošćanice and the protected, fenced-off Vrelo area therefore describe two different aspects: a named water site and an area with restricted access.

A watermill was opened in the Faletići district. In addition, the watermill at the Vrelo restaurant was put back into operation. In Faletići, the traditional Bosnian sweet Ćetenija has been prepared every year for the past four years on the first Saturday in February. Ćetenija is a traditional Bosnian sweet and is usually served with coffee. Restaurant guests are offered homemade products made from the flour traditionally milled in the watermill.

The Dom Faletići accommodation and gastronomy complex offers mountain trails, sports fields, a wellness and fitness area, as well as walking and cross-country running opportunities in a pine forest park.
