Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje: Hotels amid Waterfalls and Culture
The Vrbas River crosses the municipality of Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje for a length of 35 kilometres. At the foot of Mount Vranica, there are three lakes near the village of Ždrimci, collectively known as the Ždrimačka Lakes. The Crnodolski Waterfall, also called Ždrimački Waterfall, is 29 metres high. The municipality is also home to the Sikirski Waterfall on the stream of the same name, formed by fault movements.
Nature
Ljuti slap forms during heavy rain and after the snow melts on the slopes of the Pode elevation in the Desna area. Ždrimački Waterfall can be reached via a paved road through Ždrimci, followed by a two-kilometre gravel path that can be continued on foot. Hikers from Gornji Vakuf and an enthusiastic mountain biker are active on Mount Vranica.
The M-16.2 trunk road between Banja Luka and Mostar crosses the municipality of Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje for approximately 18 kilometres.

Culture
The Gafića Tower, also known as Sahat kula, has been under state protection since 1950. It dates from around 1610 and is located in Gornja mahala, not far from Gafića duna and the Gafića Mosque.
The Džamija Mehmed-beg Stočanin is dated to the construction period of 1592/1593. Gornji Vakuf developed from the area around Džemat Mehmed-beg Stočanin.
The medieval necropolis of Maculje consists of 101 stećak tombstones. The summer cottages in Luka contain areas for storing dairy products, mostly cheese.
The Ljubunčića Tower, also called Teskeredžića Tower, stands in Voljice, in the municipality of Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje. Due to years of inadequate maintenance and damage, it is at risk; the building is in danger of collapsing.
Events
During the Festival of Ilahije and Kaside, choirs and soloists are offered guided tours of Gornji Vakuf during breaks between rehearsals and lunch. The children’s choir event “Zlatna harfa 2024” of the parishes of Central Bosnia took place on 8 June 2024 at the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Uskoplje.
