Travnik: Fortress, Culture and Plava Voda
Travnik's Stari Grad Fortress is one of the best-preserved medieval fortifications in Bosnia. Its construction is dated to the second half of the 14th or the first half of the 15th century.
Culture
The Ivo Andrić Memorial Museum is located in the reconstructed house in Travnik's Zenjak neighborhood, where Ivo Andrić was born on October 9, 1892. The memorial's Open Literature Atelier hosts historical lectures in the “Aporias of Bosnian History” series, acoustic concerts and monodramas.
The permanent ethnographic exhibition of the Travnik Regional Museum presents customs and manifestations of tangible and intangible cultural heritage characteristic of the Travnik region. Through trophy weapons, the clothing of aristocratic families, the furnishings of a Bosnian room, historical documents and photographs, the cultural and historical exhibition conveys life in the former capital of Bosnia.
