The museum’s offerings also include the Stojanović family memorial house in Prijedor. It is a branch of the Kozara Museum and houses historical and art-historical exhibitions dedicated to the Stojanović family. The memorial house was rebuilt in 2007 according to identical plans after the previous building, dating from 1893, was demolished in 1989. The “Sreten Stojanović” Gallery is also located on Prijedor’s main street and serves as an exhibition space for cultural events. Exhibitions, literary evenings, book presentations and concerts take place there. For 19 years, the International Festival of Drawing and Music at the gallery has brought together visual and musical art.

The present-day Church of the Holy Trinity replaced a wooden church that had been destroyed in the city fire of 1882 and was consecrated on 1 September 1891. The site of the city mosque, also known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, together with its harem and tombstones in Prijedor, was declared a national monument in October 2008. The Čaršijska Mosque was also declared a national monument, in March 2003. Another historical trace leads to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic parish in Prijedor: It was founded in 1910. Its worshippers are Ukrainians who moved from western Ukraine, particularly Galicia, at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.

The city’s cultural character is also reflected in recurring events. The “Kozara i prijatelji” International Folklore Festival promotes local folk traditions, culture and customs. The fourth Sana Regatta is a summer event for nature, sports and leisure enthusiasts, taking place on the Sana in Prijedor on 11 July 2026. At “Zlatne ruke Potkozarja”, the programme includes a pottery workshop introducing traditional techniques for working with clay. The event also gives visitors the opportunity to discover traditional costumes, embroidery, woven goods, souvenirs and other handicrafts.

In Prijedor, Potkozarska kuća brings together the promotion, marketing and sale of local products from Potkozarje in an integrated centre. The Potkozarje Fest has been held for four years, bringing local producers together and showcasing quality products from the Potkozarje region. Thus, alongside exhibitions and historical sites, products and craft traditions from the surrounding region are also at the centre of attention.

There are various natural attractions for days spent outdoors. Kozara National Park is about 24 km from Prijedor and offers forest walks, marked trails, the Mrakovica memorial complex, a monument and a museum. Kozara is also home to the Via Ferrata route between the Kotlovača mountain lodge and Zečiji kamen. It comprises three vertical sections and more than 400 m of secured sections of hiking trails. There are also hiking opportunities in Prijedor itself. The “Ljekarice” Eco Centre offers visitors nature-based learning and recreation. The Prijedor area also has several prepared bathing areas that are visited during the summer months.
