Varvara: Hotels and Accommodation

Varvara’s coast includes a picturesque beach and numerous rocky coves with underwater reefs and caves. These coastal features offer conditions for underwater fishing, freediving, and scuba diving.

The “Path to the Sea” hiking trail leads from Brodilovo via Haydushko Kladenche to Varvara and takes about two hours. At first, it follows a steep, rocky ascent towards a ridge of Golyama Papia; the trail then descends through a pine forest to the village of Varvara.

In the vicinity of Varvara are Sveti Yani, Papia, Sveta Bogoroditsa, Sveta Atanasia, and Studenia Izvor. On the summit of Papia near Varvara are the remains of a late antique and medieval fortress.
