There are four water sports centers on the beach. Albena offers windsurfing and canoeing. There are 12 facilities for beach volleyball. The resort's riding station offers recreational horse riding in the forest or at the resort. Walks in the forest or along the beach are also available. Getting Around
A free shuttle bus and an electric bus are available for getting around Albena. There is also a tourist train and a seasonally operated outdoor escalator between the beach and the central area. The escalator operates from June 15 to September 10 and costs extra. More than half of the beach area consists of free beach zones.
Nature and Surroundings
The Baltata Reserve is located directly next to Albena. Admission for visitors is free; information boards provide information about the plant and animal species in the area. More than 180 bird species have been recorded in the Baltata region. There are also three golf courses near Albena: BlackSeaRama, Lighthouse Golf Resort, and Thracian Cliffs.
Culture
The restaurants in Albena serve Bulgarian national dishes and international specialties. The offerings also include products described as being produced in Albena's own gardens. Bars and nightclubs are also available within the resort. The beach library offers more than 6,000 titles in 15 languages.
