Popgrigorovo is home to a 32-decare archaeological settlement associated with the First Bulgarian Empire and classified as a cultural heritage site of national significance. Another archaeological settlement covering 125 decares dates from the Late Iron Age and the Roman period; it too is classified as a cultural heritage site of national significance. The Church of Saint Nicholas in Popgrigorovo was built in 1891 and consecrated in 1903.
