In the vicinity of Radino is the Tryavna Icon-Painting School Museum. It is unique in Bulgaria and houses 160 icons by painters from six prominent families. Through demonstrations and talks, the museum aims to introduce visitors to icon painting and woodcarving.

In the area around Radino, Daskalova House is one of Tryavna’s most important sites associated with woodcarving. It preserves carved “sun” ceilings that resulted from a competition between a master and his apprentice in 1808. Tryavna’s old town preserves architecture from the Bulgarian National Revival period; at the same time, active craft workshops can be found there.

Nature

Vikanata Skala is a protected natural landmark in the Bulgarka Nature Park near Radino. The 1,000-metre-high rock formation offers a panoramic view towards the Predbalkan and the Danubian Plain. A well-marked trail leads from Vikanata Skala to Bedeck Peak.

Trails

The Bozhentsi–Dryanovo Monastery Ecotrail begins at the Bozhentsi car park and connects with tourist routes to Gabrovo, Tryavna and Sechen Kamak. The trail is of moderate difficulty and is suitable for hiking, cycling and children without special equipment.

Guest House Bratovchedite provides access via tourist trails to Bozhentsi and Etar.

Transport

Tryavna has bus connections as well as rail connections on the Ruse–Gorna Oryahovitsa–Stara Zagora–Plovdiv route. Road GAB3282 is connected to the Plachkovtsi–Enchovtsi turnoff and Radino.
