The municipality lies in the Osogovo–Belasitsa mountain range and, under Bulgaria’s tourist area classification, belongs to the Sofia Tourist Region, within the Kraishte subregion. Parts of two Natura 2000 sites lie within its territory: Dolni Koriten covers 137.4 hectares there; Kŭrvav Kamŭk is partly within the municipality. The protected areas offer different points of interest for nature lovers. The Natura 2000 site BG0000295 Dolni Koriten covers 137.4 hectares within the municipality. Near Dragoychintsi, in the Kulata area, lie the remains of a medieval fortress, 650 meters northwest of the village. The fortress had a triangular shape. Every summer, homecoming gatherings and folk festivals are held in connection with Christian holidays, accompanied by music and folklore programs.
