Geographical setting
The municipality of Teteven extends across the central Pre-Balkan and the northern slopes of the Zlatishko-Tetevenska Mountains in the Central Balkan. This mountain range is included in Central Balkan National Park. The national park has an environmentally compatible tourism zone with tourist routes totaling 580 km. The Zavodna entrance to the national park is approximately a one-hour walk from Ribaritsa in the Teteven Balkan.

Things to do
The Skoka Waterfall is 15 meters high, is located in the Koznitsa district of Teteven, and lies at the end of the Pod Praskite na Vodopada educational eco-trail. The trail begins in the center of Teteven, is 4 km long, and takes approximately two hours. It crosses four wooden bridges; there are also two open rest areas and, near the waterfall, a covered pavilion with a brick fireplace.
The Gorskata Pateka is described as an easy walking trail suitable for children and older visitors, leading through beech forests approximately 150 years old.
Approximately 8 km from Teteven, the Vurbaka sports and recreation complex is located on the road to Ribaritsa. It offers barbecue facilities; recreational fishing is also associated with the site.
