Potok Musulinski: Hotels and Accommodation

Potok Musulinski lies in a valley at an altitude of 560–640 m between the Klek ridge and Gvozd. The valley area around Klek, where Musulinski Potok and Bjelsko are located, forms part of the southern and southwestern boundary of the Klek area. As an administrative settlement, Potok Musulinski belongs to the administrative area of the Klek Significant Landscape.

Nature

Near Bjelsko lies Visibaba, a protected geomorphological monument. The 7 m-high rock narrows towards its base and stands on a thin rock support. Along the Bjelsko–Klečica trail, 24 butterfly species have been recorded, including the endemic subspecies klekovski okaš, which occurs only in the summit area of Klek.

Klek reaches 1,182 metres and is described as a botanical reserve with diverse protected flora and fauna. These include orchids as well as wolves, bears, lynxes and capercaillies.

Hiking and Climbing

The Klek geological educational trail has ten information boards covering geological, geomorphological, hydrogeological and speleological features. The Croatian climbing guide describes the Klek rock as a climbing destination with around 50 routes.

Klek is located near Musulinski Potok. Pečice, Grbin Vrh and Smolnik lie in the surrounding area of Musulinski Potok.

Culture

Ogulin is described as the cradle of Croatian mountaineering and alpinism because of Klek.
