The rural settlement of Gornji Prijevor and Stražara is situated on a slope approximately 200 metres north of the present-day main road and north of Donji Prijevor. Culture

Prijevor includes two officially protected religious cultural heritage sites: the Church of Saint Nicholas in Dračevo Selo 2 and the Monastery and Church of the Visitation of Mary in Na Rivi 1.

Above Gornji Prijevor and Stražara, the remains of a watchtower mark the former final guard post dating from the time of the Republic, facing north and located along the old inland route.

Several historic villa-garden complexes are classified in Prijevor. Ivan Nikolin Palmota and Nikola Marinov Rafa Gozze each belong to the casa grande type; Damjan Ivanov Menze, Vlaho Marinov Bobali and Junije Mihov Cerva are each classified as villa-garden complexes of the casa padrone type.

Landscape

Rijeka Dubrovačka is a protected karst river landscape near Prijevor, associated with the Ombla spring, green slopes, historic summer residences and lush vegetation. This landscape has been protected since 1964.

Prijevor is also included among the protected rural areas within the cultivated landscape of Rijeka Dubrovačka.

Water

The waterway near Prijevor is navigable for vessels of any size up to the prominent cape in the settlement. Beyond Prijevor, the river narrows and its depth gradually decreases.

Prijevor is one of the villages in the rural area of Rijeka Dubrovačka covered by Dubrovnik’s Local Action Plan for rural tourism and integrated tourism offerings.
