History and Architectural Heritage
Mala Gospa in Močići is a chapel belonging to the Kocelj family, dating from the 15th or 16th century. It is described as a preserved private chapel of a Dubrovnik noble family within a country estate complex. Other visible evidence of the village’s history includes nine stone crosses called Križi svetog Antuna, dating from 1762 to the mid-19th century. These crosses served as stations during the traditional blessing of the fields. They were erected at elevated points beside municipal roads and offered views over the surrounding fields.
The houses of Močići are described as examples of classic Konavle architecture. Traditional houses feature stone arches, terraces, staircases, carved stone thresholds, thick foundation walls, and enclosing stone walls.
