Gdinj: Hotels and Accommodation

Nature

The islet of Pločica is located in the surrounding area of Gdinj. Nugal Beach, Hlapje and Sućuraj are located in the wider regional vicinity of Gdinj.

History and Culture

Gdinj is home to prehistoric burial mounds and stone tombs. The Vela Gomila burial mound is located approximately 300 metres from Gdinj. Finds include ceramic fragments, a bronze ring and part of a dagger. Its size and the artefacts are interpreted as indicating that the mound could date from the Bronze Age.

Gdinj features complexes of stone houses with courtyards, as well as olive groves, vineyards and several churches and chapels. Sveti Stipan, Sveti Mihovil, Sveti Ilija and Sveti Dominik are also located in the wider regional vicinity of Gdinj.
