In Cere, Trail 651 leads through the Cere Forest, past a pond and Varine, large artificial pits from abandoned flint sand mines. History

The Church of St Matthew and St Matthias the Apostles in Cere is located 5.5 km southeast of the municipal center of Žminj. The single-nave church was built in 1630 on the site of an earlier church, and the vestibule was added in 1698. The church was consecrated in 1711; the date is recorded in an inscription carved into the altar.

Culture

Folklorno društvo Cere was founded in 1945 and is described as the oldest folklore society in Istria. It includes musicians, dancers and singers who regularly perform at folklore showcases in Istria, Croatia and abroad. At the society, children learn Istrian dances and songs, including the Ceranski balun.

Events
