The parish church of Pomer, the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, dates back to the 14th century. An ancient architectural spolia element has been incorporated into St. Foška Church.

Sv. Ivan od Izvora at Fontana Bay is an archaeological site from antiquity and the Middle Ages. A Benedictine monastery once stood at this location; in 1115, a monk named Iohannes monacus Sancti Iohannis de Medilino was mentioned there.

Pomer hosts a summer folk festival, and classical music concerts are held in the village churches.
