Culture

On the western edge of Muntrilj stands the 17th-century St Rocco Cemetery Chapel with a freestanding bell tower. In the wider Tinjan area, the Šimunja Festival traditionally includes an exhibition of kosirs and other wrought-iron products.

A municipal publication from 2014 reported that BK Štandar-Muntrilj organised the traditional Rokova boccia tournament on 5 August.

Landscape

Cycling

The Duhići–Karojba–Duhići (620) is a 22-kilometre cycling route of moderate difficulty. It is listed with 270 metres of elevation gain and a duration of two hours. Muntrilj is listed as an alternative starting point for the route.

The route’s attractions include St Andrew Church and Glogovac Summit. The trail passes Pajićka Pond. Route 620 also passes the cemetery and heads towards St Roch Church near Muntrilj.

Culinary Experiences

Vina Paljuh is a family farm in the village of Muntrilj and a wine and brandy producer that has been making wines and spirits for three generations. In 2006, Tinjan declared itself the municipality of Istrian prosciutto.

Hiking

Trail Montreo is a circular hiking trail that begins in Duhići and continues towards Muntrilj. Trail Montreo leads to the Sopajac doline, also known as Veliki dol. The Badavca spring is an attraction accessible via Trail Montreo.
