Culture and history
The Kazalište u Pavuleta is a historic theater in Postrana, a hamlet of Žrnovo, and was founded in 1921. The Pauletov Theatre became a cultural center and meeting place for the residents of Postrana and Žrnovo.
Žrnovo’s officially listed cultural heritage includes the Jakasova Cave archaeological site, several churches, and the remains of a Roman cistern. Its exhibits include a hand-operated stone grain mill and an animal-powered olive press. From the road, the collection is reached via steep lanes and stone-paved steps.
Nature
Kočje in Žrnovo is a special forest vegetation reserve that has been protected since 1962. The Pavja Luka botanical trail in Žrnovo is 3.3 kilometers long and features typical Mediterranean forest vegetation with preserved holm oak areas. The information boards along the trail have been renewed.
