Hreljin: Hotels and Accommodation

Hreljin was one of the nine towns of Vinodol whose representatives signed the Vinodol Statute in 1288. The Vinodol Statute associated with Hreljin was written in the Glagolitic script. Those wishing to book a hotel in Hreljin can then continue searching for accommodation.

History and Townscape

Hreljin's Gradina consists of the ruins of a medieval town built in western Vinodol on a steep cliff above Bakarac, the town's former port. Hreljin is also home to the Baroque parish church of Saint George. Hreljin lies on the Karolina Road, which was built in 1732.

Jurjeva is Hreljin's traditional festival held around the feast day of Saint George.

Paths and Historic Routes

Put Gradine is a 1.6-kilometre thematic promenade from Hreljin to the medieval Hreljin Gradina. Put Gradine also includes the gamified “Frankopan Adventure”. About 15 minutes along Put Gradine, you will come across three old water reservoirs known as Kalce or Lokve.

The Frankopan Route connects Nova Kraljevica Castle with the old town of Hreljin. Near Hreljin, a Frankopan Route leads from Hreljin Gradina downhill through Mali Dol towards an old Roman road to Bakarac.

Cycling Route and Regional Connections

The “Tracing Frankopan Footsteps” cycling tour passes through the old town of Hreljin. Near Hreljin are the Bakarske prezidi, terraces where sparkling wine was traditionally produced.
