Route 117 begins in Rukavac at the parking lot below Kinkelova kuća and continues toward Gornji Rukavac and the protected area of Lisina. The 30 km-long route follows the old Žejane–Bukvina–Zvoneća road toward the Zvonejske njivi terraces.

Nature and surroundings

Veliki Orjak, Beljač, Veprinac vrh, and Crni Vrh are located in the vicinity of Rukavac. The statue “Maiden With The Seagull” by Zvonko Car and the church “Župna crkva Navještenja Blažene Djevice Marije” are also located nearby.

Local character

OPG Robert Kos in Rukavac has been practicing beekeeping for three generations and produces organic honey and bee products.

The Zvonejske njivi terraces near Zvoneća are a protected cultural and natural heritage landscape. They were created between the 15th and 17th centuries and cover approximately 60 hectares of dry-stone wall terraces; their value as cultural heritage was entered into the Register of Cultural Goods in 1994.
