Šimuni: Hotels and Accommodation

Šimuni is a fishing village whose small restaurants serve fresh regional home cooking and which is shaped by fishermen returning from their catch early in the morning. Those wishing to book a hotel in Šimuni can continue their accommodation search afterwards.

Nature

At 349 metres above sea level, Sv. Vid is the highest peak on the island of Pag. From Sv. Vid, you can see Mjesečev otok, Paška uvala, the stone city of Pag, the salt pans of Pag, Velebit, the Kvarner and northern Dalmatian islands, and the Velebit Channel.

One route to the summit of Sv. Vid leads through pastures and sage meadows, past a watering place and onwards along sheep tracks, before ascending to the summit.

Water

The Foka Diving Centre is located at Plaža bijelog galeba. The diving courses at Šimuni Camping are conducted under the expert guidance of diving instructors, with individual attention for every guest. Sunken ships lie 40 metres from the shore and can be discovered while diving.

Every year in the off-season, Camping Village Šimuni and the Surfbace Šimuni Sailing Club organise the Shimuni Open, a catamaran regatta.

A traditional pilgrimage to Sv. Vid before the Vela Gospa holiday begins at the entrance to Šimuni Camping.
