Sreser: Hotels and accommodations

Sreser is located on the southern foothills of the Rota, on the shores of Malo more. The islets off Sreser are part of a valuable coastal landscape identified in municipal planning documents, extending from Rat via Stiniva to Osobjava. In the surrounding region, Malostonski Bay and Malo more are designated as a special reserve; within the municipality of Janjina, it covers 921.8 hectares of sea. Paths and islands

Walking Trail 6 is a circular route from Sreser to Drače and back to Sreser. The trail begins in the center of Sreser and follows a paved road to the Osobjava–Drače intersection. Between Drače and Sreser, the route follows a coastal promenade for pedestrians with views of the Pelješac Bridge.

Gospin škoj, the small island opposite Sreser’s central beach, is described as accessible on foot or by swimming and as possible to walk around. A cross marks its highest point, which is described as a viewpoint and a place for sunbathing.

History and culture

Sreser is recorded from 1370 onward. The Church of Little Lady, located on the mainland, is mentioned in Sreser from 1617; a new Church of Little Lady, also located on the mainland, was built in 1791. Sreser had a Roman villa rustica with a mosaic, a bathhouse, and bricks. Graves of Roman soldiers are associated with the Church of Little Lady in Sreser.

Local tradition places a Church of Saint Mary on Gospin škoj. In the Pelješac land register, a Church of Saint Mary was recorded in the area of Sreser in 1396.
