The four beaches in the town centre differ in their surface: three are pebble beaches and one is a sandy beach. Together, they stretch for about 3 kilometres.

The Lazanić family castle in Postira is the birthplace of Croatian poet Vladimir Nazor (1876–1949). Another distinctive feature is Škarića dvori’s narrowest street, known as “Pust me proć”. The medieval village of Dol has about one hundred residents. Around thirty natural, shallow caves are among its distinctive natural features. Dol can be reached from various directions via well-maintained roads and paths.

Hrapoćuša from Dol is a traditional dish from the island of Brač. The skills involved in preparing it have been included on the Croatian Ministry of Culture’s list of protected cultural heritage. Dol is therefore a place where living cultural traditions and regional culinary heritage take centre stage.

Via Brattia is a circular tourism and hiking route about 140 kilometres long that passes through Postira. Another described hike connects Postira to Bol via Vidova gora. This route is 21 kilometres long and takes about 6.5 hours on foot. For climbing, the Trstena area has 12 routes graded from 5a to 7a+. It can be reached from the main road via an easy 10–15-minute walk. If you’d rather explore different sports, Postira’s sports centre has two natural-grass football pitches, two tennis courts, a cageball pitch and a bocce court.

Postirsko ljeto is a traditional cultural and entertainment event. It includes, among other things, the feasts of St John the Baptist, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Assumption of Mary. In October, Postira hosts the Olive Picking World Championship, which has been held there since 2017. Tastings, excursions and entertainment evenings are organised on all event days. These events have different focuses: religious feasts, summer culture and entertainment, and a programme centred on the olive harvest in October.
