The former parish church was completed in 1982 through the considerable efforts of local parishioners and destroyed in 1991 during the Croatian War of Independence. Near the parish church in the center of the village stands a monument featuring a figure of Christ and a Croatian flag.
Asseria is located in the vicinity of Lisičić. Near Podgrađe, at Asseria, traces of the ancient forum and Roman stonework are still visible. The site was supplied with water from the Čatrnja spring in Lisičić via an aqueduct approximately three kilometers long.
