Chotětov: Hotels and accommodations

In the center of the municipality of Chotětov stands the Church of St. Procopius on the village square, at a change in elevation that significantly shapes the appearance of the village square.

Culture and townscape

The protected ensemble of the Church of St. Procopius includes the Chapel of the Holy Cross, as well as the surrounding wall with gates, stairs, and niche chapels. The church was built around 1546 in the Gothic style on the site of an older church building and was remodeled in the Baroque style in 1773. Its bell tower was built in 1759–1760.

Southeast of the Church of St. Procopius is a niche chapel aligned with the cemetery wall. It is a simple rectangular brick structure. There is also a chapel with a spring next to the church; the chapel dates from 1819.

Near the village square of Chotětov stands the sculpture group Coronation of the Virgin Mary. It is a Baroque work from the 18th century, made of natural-colored sandstone, and is approximately 5 meters high.

At the southern edge of Chotětov, at the intersection of the roads to Bezno and Jizerní Vtelno, stands the masonry polygonal wayside shrine Boží muka. Boží muka is a polygonal masonry devotional structure from the late 17th century.
