Educational Trails and Nature

The “Okolo Klenice za hrou a poučením” educational trail is a 10-kilometer circular route that begins and ends at the swimming pool in Dolní Bousov. It has 13 information panels on the history and present of the places visited.

The “Městem Dolním Bousovem” educational trail is a four-kilometer circular route that begins and ends at the railway station and is signposted in one direction. Eight panels provide information about local history and nature; the route also features a popular game for children.

The “Za lesním tichem” educational trail begins at Pískovák Pond and returns to Dolní Bousov after just under 13 kilometers, in the area of the swimming pool.

The “Krajinou Červenského rybníka” educational trail is a 3.5-kilometer circular route that begins and ends at Tovární Pond in Dolní Bousov. It includes several wooden footbridges and has seven stations where information is provided on panels.

Culture and Urban History

The Baroque Church of St. Catherine was built between 1759 and 1760; its tower was added in 1832. The interior features sculptural decoration from the workshop of Martin Ignác Jelínek, dating from 1750 to 1770.

Dolní Bousov Town Hall is an architecturally remarkable Empire-style building dating from 1861. In the middle of T. G. Masaryk Square stands a Baroque Marian column from the 18th century, surrounded by four old linden trees.

Tourist Information

The Dolní Bousov Tourist Information Centre is located in a historic former rectory in the immediate vicinity of the town square. It offers informational and promotional materials, souvenirs, maps, postcards, and exhibitions.
