Křivsoudov: Hotels and Accommodation
Křivsoudov is home to the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, built at the end of the 13th century as a fortified Gothic church. It contains a Renaissance crypt belonging to the Střela z Rokyc family. Křivsoudov is accessible via the D1 motorway.
Culture and History
The facade of Křivsoudov Town Hall bears the town's coat of arms, which Křivsoudov has used since the second half of the 14th century. On the grounds of Křivsoudov Castle, parts of the outer wall and courtyard wall, as well as a northern earth rampart, have been preserved.
In the vicinity of Křivsoudov are Želivský Kláštor Monastery, the Church of Svatý Jan and the Loreta Church. Further afield in the region is the ruin of Orlík.
A structural detail in the town is the Křivsoudov road bridge on the road between Alberovice and Čechtice. It spans an unnamed stream; the year 1848 can be seen on the bridge.
Nature
The Želivka Reservoir is a prominent landscape feature in the vicinity of Křivsoudov. The Černý potok, which flows through Křivsoudov, also feeds it.
The hill Holý vrch [Loket-Alberovice] is located in the immediate vicinity of Křivsoudov. Further afield in the region are Velký Blaník mountain, Ostojovka mountain [Ledeč nad Sázavou-Souboř] and Melechov mountain.
Events
At Czech History Day 2025 in Křivsoudov, the programme included historical military camps with guided commentary. A family quiz on Czech history with 11 stations was also offered.
