Kamenné Zboží: Hotels and Accommodations

Kamenné Zboží was first mentioned in writing in 1495. The village’s history is particularly evident in the chapel and the small memorial sites in the village.

History and Chapel

The originally Baroque chapel has stood here since the 18th century and was structurally modified toward the end of the 19th century. It is built of masonry, has a square floor plan, a hipped roof, and a tower-like bell frame. Next to the chapel stands a memorial to those who fell in the First and Second World Wars. There is a cross in front of House No. 50.

Landscape and Village Character

Former marlstone quarries are located in the western part of Kamenné Zboží. These former marlstone quarries are now built up; they contain 30 houses. A pond divided into three sections lies on the southern edge of Kamenné Zboží.

Festivals, Fishing, and Trails

The local Blace fishing club holds fishing competitions several times a year. The Posvícení festival takes place on November 1. The traditional pilgrimage is associated with the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul on June 29. Hiking and cycling trails from nearby Nymburk also extend into the area of Kamenné Zboží.

Transport

Kamenné Zboží has a double-track, electrified railway line that is part of the national railway network.
