Kozmice: Hotels and Accommodation

Kozmice combines the Church of Saint James the Elder with traces of a medieval fortified site. The church is a landmark of Kozmice and is first mentioned in the second half of the 14th century; with its bell tower dating from the mid-14th century, it is listed as a cultural monument under reference number 15702/2-76. The protected Church of Saint James the Elder ensemble includes the church, the enclosing wall, the parish house No. 31, and the associated plots of land. The grounds of the Church of Saint James in Kozmice are also registered as an archaeological site in category ÚAN I.

At the edge of the built-up area of Kozmice lies Tvrziště Na Valech. It preserves significant terrain remains of a medieval fortified site, a residence of the rural lesser nobility, dating from the 13th–15th centuries. Tvrziště Na Valech is surrounded by a ditch and partly by an embankment; no visible wall remains are present.

On Site

No educational trail for tourists runs through the municipality of Kozmice. Kozmice has a multi-purpose sports complex with a children's playground established in 2018 and a pavilion. The motocross track in Kozmice can be reached from the D1 via exit 34 in the direction of Ostředek and Benešov.

At the southern edge of Kácova Lhota, there is a view across the landscape. Mount Žebrák is located in the vicinity of Kozmice. In the immediate vicinity of Kozmice are Meduná Hill [Vranovská Lhota], Železnice Hill [Vranov u Čerčan], and Horka Hill [Chocerady-Vestec].
