Mokrovraty: Hotels and Accommodation

The Plechhamer Mill was built in 1707 in the picturesque valley of the Kocába River near the former settlement of Pustiny, which was later renamed Pouště. The Plechhamer Mill was located beside the Plechhamerský double pond, which disappeared in 1941.

The former Královská stolice hunting preserve extended as far as Mokrovraty. Remains of the pillars of its original enclosure, dating from 1766, have survived to this day. The central pavilion of the former Královská stolice preserve, which was made of birch trunks, has since been restored in a different form.

The Chapel of St. John the Baptist is located in Mokrovraty, Pouště. The regional Holcovská and Kazatelna biocentres also extend into this district.

Dense forests lie near Mokrovraty, offering opportunities for active recreation as well as for collecting mushrooms and other forest fruits.

A marked hiking trail passes through Mokrovraty. Mokrovraty railway station is located on the single-track secondary line Praha-Vršovice–Praha-Bráník–Měchenice–Dobříš. Mokrovraty has bus stops on Road II/114; public transport is provided by buses, supplemented by rail services.

The remains of the furnace form the summit of an isolated 393-metre-high hill halfway between Mokrovraty railway station and Dolní Tušimský Pond. These remains are considered to be the only ones in the wider surrounding area.
