Culture and History

The barn of the Pšovlky No. 23 farmstead is a rare surviving half-timbered building dating from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries and is classified as a national cultural monument. The Pšovlky Tvrziště (NKP) preserves terrain traces of a medieval fortification dating from the 13th to the 15th century. The surviving moat and the core of the Pšovlky Tvrziště are not open to the public.

The masonry Baroque house at Pšovlky No. 71, oriented with its depth toward the street, is a historic building in Pšovlky. The statue of the Virgin Mary (“Pšovlcká Mother of God”) was probably erected between 1850 and 1870. The Church of U Svatého Gotharda is located in the surroundings of Pšovlky. In the wider regional surroundings of Pšovlky are the Pravda Ruins, the Týřov Ruins, and the Svatý Prokop Monument.

Landscape and Surroundings

Pšovlcký les forest stretches along the southern edge of the municipality of Pšovlky. Ptačí vrch [Pšovlky] hill lies in the vicinity of Pšovlky; Lovíč [Oráčov] hill is also nearby. In the wider regional surroundings of Pšovlky are Džbán Mountain and Loustín Mountain.

Activities and Transport

Cycle Route No. 351 runs through the southern part of the municipality of Pšovlky. The Jezdecká stáj ALFA riding stable in Pšovlky offers beginner courses and recreational riding. The Pšovlky railway stop is located on railway line No. 161.
