Hřebečníky: Hotels and Accommodation

Hřebečníky lies on the edge of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The Skryjsko-Týřovické Cambrian Natural Monument also extends into the cadastral area of Hřebečníky and includes paleontological and geological sites with Cambrian fossil fauna in the Barrandian region. The Berounka runs through the municipality in the area of Šlovice and Týřovice.

Nature

The combination of the protected landscape area, natural monument and river defines the geographical setting of the village. The Skryjsko-Týřovické Cambrian area is further characterized by its sites containing fossil fauna from the Cambrian period in the Barrandian region.

History

The oldest statue in Hřebečníky is a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk; it was erected in 1757 opposite House No. 2. The household chapel of the Holy Trinity in Hřebečníky was built in 1756. The present-day château was built in 1736 after the former fortress had been demolished.

Culture

The château complex in Hřebečníky comprises buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries alongside a château of Renaissance origin, including a large Baroque granary.

The surviving rural buildings also include the Hřebečníky Rural House and the Hřebečníky Hunting Lodge. The Hřebečníky Rural House is a log house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century and classified as a national cultural monument; in 1992, it was moved here from Vejvanov in the Rokycany District. The Hřebečníky Hunting Lodge is a rare surviving small log house with an approximately square floor plan, probably dating from the 19th century and likely serving as shelter for hunters.

Routes and Sightseeing

The Berounka educational paddling route is marked in Hřebečníky. A red-marked KČT hiking trail is also designated here as the Svatojakubská cesta, the Way of St. James. Hřebečníky is connected by Road II/201, which leads to Hřebečníky via Jeneč, Unhošť and Křivoklát.

A museum with machinery that is no longer in operation and information panels is located in the former mill building of the Čechův mlýn Electroskanzen. Visits to the Čechův mlýn Electroskanzen are possible by prior arrangement.
