Branov: Hotels and Accommodations

In connection with Branov, the expansive canyon of the Berounka is considered largely undeveloped and close to nature. This landscape is complemented by the U Eremita Nature Reserve, which consists predominantly of rubble forest with a high proportion of yew trees. There is also an active tuff deposit near a spring in the middle of the area.

Trails and Water

The U Eremita educational trail begins on the road from Roztoky to Karlova Ves, at the confluence of the Klucná stream and the Berounka near an arched bridge. The path, intended for pedestrians, is 1 kilometer long and classified as moderately difficult. Along the educational trail, visitors learn about 35 species of trees and shrubs characteristic of the region.

In Luh near Branov, the ferryman Karel Prošek’s cottage houses a memorial hall dedicated to the writer Ota Pavel.
