Ptice: Hotels and accommodations

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary with its small bell tower stands on the village green of Ptice, about 100 meters east of the municipal office. The present Chapel of the Virgin Mary was built in 1990 on the site of an earlier chapel that had been demolished after being neglected for a long time and falling completely into disrepair. Also on the new village green, the memorial to those who fell in the First World War was unveiled on June 4, 1933; it commemorates the men who died in the First World War.

Culture and history

The rural farmstead at House No. 10 in Ptice was built by the first half of the 19th century at the latest. It is a single-story masonry building with a half-hipped roof, adjoining an enclosing wall with a driveway gate and a wicket gate.

The farmstead at House No. 122 in Ptice was built in the first half of the 19th century in the local vernacular architectural style. Its stone granary dates approximately from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The farmstead has largely been preserved in its present form and was divided between Houses No. 122 and 255.

Nature

The Štola svatého Vojtěcha is an abandoned iron-mining adit dating from the 19th century in the cadastral territory of the municipality of Ptice in the Praha-západ District. It has been closed since 2018. From November to May, it serves as a wintering site for bats; the predominant species is the greater mouse-eared bat.

Hiking

A green-marked hiking trail from Lhotka u Berouna to Ptice runs through the Kačák River Valley Nature Park.
