Seletice was probably established as early as before the beginning of the 14th century at the southeastern foot of the Loučeňský hřbet.

Villagescape and History

On the small upper village square in Seletice, next to a wooden bell tower, stands a folk-style statue of the Virgin Mary that was probably installed at a later date. Plastered and unplastered log houses have been preserved in the village.

The history of František Kordač is also associated with Seletice: he was born in 1852 in Seletice, house no. 53, and in 1919 became the first non-noble Archbishop of Prague as well as Primate of the Czechs.
