Slapy-Nedvezi: Hotels and accommodations

Slapy-Nedvezi: Tvrz Nedvězí is an architectural complex of buildings whose individual structures have preserved their authentic medieval character. In the so-called Old Courtyard, Romanesque-Gothic remains have been preserved in cellars beneath newer buildings.

Culture and history

The complex, as well as the farm buildings and surrounding area, were reconstructed in 1995 and 1996; an ecological farm was also established during this process. Grand Farma Michael is normally not open to the public; visits are possible when a public event is taking place there.

Konopiště is a chateau in the vicinity of Nedvězí. In the wider region around Nedvězí are Karlštejn Castle, the Malá Svatá Hora Church and the Práče Fortress.

Countryside and experiences

Grand Farma Michael offers horseback rides in English and Western styles all year round. Children can take part in rides in the area around the farm under the supervision of an experienced guide or train on the lunge. The access road to Grand Farma Michael leads between enclosures with Aberdeen Angus cattle, sheep and horses to Tvrz Nedvězí.

During the Easter weekend of 2026 at Grand Farma Michael, traditional Easter workshops for children and adults were held, including the making of Easter wreaths.

Nature

Kolátov [Krňany-Teletín] is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Nedvěží. Jáchym and Vesely are mountains in the area around Nedvěží; Točna is a mountain in the wider region around Nedvěží.

Rabyňská vyhlídka is located near Nová Rabyně and offers a view of the Slapská přehrada; there is also a place to get refreshments there. Slapská přehrada is located about 40 km south of Prague on the Vltava River, at the site of the former Svatojánské proudy.
